# Programming the CN101 Timer: Clock and Weekly Programs

> How to start the CN101 timer, set the current time and configure up to 16 on and off programs, for every day or for selected days of the week.

The CN101 timer is programmed with the keys on its front panel. This page shows how to set the current time, configure the on/off programs and choose the operating mode.

## Start-up and clock setting

<Steps>

    Press the **C** (RESET) key to start the timer.

  <Step title="Set the current day and time">
    Hold the **◷** (clock) key and press **D+**, **H+** and **M+** to adjust the current day, hour and minute.

## Setting the programs

| Step | Key | Action |
| - | - | - |
| 1 | Press **P** | Setting 1 ON time (display **1 ON**) |
| 2 | Press **H+** / **M+** | Set the on hour and minute |
| 3 | Press **D+** | Select days: same every day, different days, Monday to Friday or Saturday and Sunday |
| 4 | Press **P** | Setting 1 OFF time (display **1 OFF**) |
| 5 | Press **H+** / **M+** | Set the off hour and minute |
| 6 | Press **D+** | Select days. If you want the same every day, you don't need to press this key |
| 7 | Repeat steps 2-6 | Set on/off programs 2-16 |
| 8 | Press **◷** | End |

  If you don't need all 16 settings, press **◷** to exit programming.

## Operating mode

Press **MANUAL** to switch between the modes shown on the display:

* **ON**: the equipment stays on permanently
* **AUTO**: the equipment switches on and off according to the programs
* **OFF**: the equipment stays off permanently

The **C/R** key cancels or restores a program (Cancel/Recovery).

<Warning>
  * Set the times in chronological order. Programs cannot overlap.
  * If no key is pressed for 10 seconds, the timer exits programming automatically and the data is not saved.
  * Functions 3, 4 and 5 (H+, M+ and clock) cannot be used simultaneously.
