## Installation tips

* Install the smart bench in a place with enough sun, avoiding spots shaded by trees or buildings.
* Connect the battery first and make sure the product works correctly.
* Connect the solar panel and peel off its protective film.
* After installation, make sure the solar panel works correctly (the **PV** indicator on the MPPT controller must be green on sunny days), to avoid battery damage caused by deep discharge.
* Clean the solar panel regularly. Insufficient charging due to dirt will damage the battery in the long term.
* Regularly check the charging functions of the ports, to avoid damaging the product through a short circuit.

<Warning>
  If you install a **black** bench in a spot with strong sun, the seat surface can get very hot. Display a warning next to the bench and read the [recommendations in the Safety guide](/en/banci-smart/siguranta#hot-seat-surface-on-black-benches).
</Warning>

<Note>
  For full operation, this product needs **2 SIM cards**. One SIM card provides the connection for the router that communicates with the air quality sensor monitoring platform, and the second SIM card is used in the 4G router for internet access within range of the smart bench. See [Usage](/en/banci-smart/utilizare).
